Invincible Returns #1 Robert Kirkman Books
It may be arguable whether Invincible is "the best super-hero comic book in the universe," but it's got to be awfully close. Robert Kirkman, best known for "Walking Dead," has crafted a masterful saga in the tradition of Dragonball-Z, mixing humor, romance, suspense, and LOTS of nail-biting fights. You should try it. I also recommend this vendor, with whom I've had good experience before. This time, they seem to have made the common minor error of overcalling the condition of a book just because it's close. They gave it a "NEW," which implies VF/NM (9.0) or better. It was in fact only VF+ (8.75) (my opinion as a comics appraiser). I gave them 5 stars, though, because while the Fair Market Value was $3.40, they discount-priced it at $1.66 (can't beat that). But you won't always have a happy buyer if you call something new, and it's not quite up to the minimum grade. The vendor, like many others, needs to be careful to grade a little more conservatively (don't they have an "almost new" button the sellers can push? Personally, I think everyone should use Overstreet grades and numbers). I still think Chalkybird is a great source for comics and will gladly patronize them again.Product details
